InGenesis Billing Specialist (12953) in Remote, Texas

InGenesis is seeking a Billing Specialist to work remotely with our corporate office. In this position, you will be responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of operations. This position is responsible for the preparation and submission of invoices in Wide Area Workflow, the verification of invoicing with the accounts receivable ledger in Peoplesoft, and the collection of unpaid invoices. Job Responsibilities • Perform day-to-day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data. • Responsible for preparing client invoices and verifying invoiced amounts against the accounts receivable ledger to ensure payments are accounted for and properly posted. • Track the progress of invoice approvals and receipt of payment in compliance with financial and contractual policies and procedures. • Maintain and update department records and reports to ensure all information is accurate and up to date. • Facilitate swift payment of invoices due by sending reminders. May make collection calls for outstanding accounts. • Investigate the root cause of discrepancies and resolve invoicing issues. • Analyze billing trends and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to streamline operational efficiencies. • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to invoicing and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. • Perform other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization. Minimum Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent. • 3+ years of experience in a similar role. • Proficient in MS Excel. • Proficient with data entry and a propensity for numbers. • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records. • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. • Hands-on experience in accounting software. Experience in Peoplesoft and Wide Area Workflow preferred. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and team members.
