Ameresco Account Executive in Remote, Oregon

Ameresco is seeking an Account Executive based in Oregon or a hybrid role to strategically drive sales of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and advanced technology solutions across multiple market sectors.  The successful candidate will be able to build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, propose, win, negotiate and secure contracts, and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Possess a thorough knowledge of the energy, renewables, and advanced technology markets, trends, and issues to ensure full discovery and understanding of customer’s primary business objectives and requirements.

  • Cultivate effective business relationships and communicate full-scope of Ameresco solutions and services to meet customer energy savings requirements.

  • Drive winning proposal strategy, contribute to written proposal content, and prepare and present solutions to customers.

  • Target and contact key decision-makers and develop positive relationships to secure new projects opportunities, sales volume, and market share.

  • Monitor account plan progress, including market conditions, customer needs, competitive activity, and provide progress and execution updates through expert use of corporate CRM.

  • Work together with technical and development teams to ensure achievement of customer satisfaction.

  • Perform other duties as required.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

  • Minimum 5 years progressive experience in the sale of complex energy efficiency, renewable generation, and advanced technology solutions within energy services and target markets, including the ability to identify customer energy needs, effectively communicate energy solutions, and position Ameresco as the provider of choice.

  • Valid Drivers' License in good standing, issued by state of residence.

  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

    Additional Qualifications:

  • Active progress toward industry-related or advanced education preferred.

  • Proven track record of securing sales of complex offerings from top-level management.

  • Demonstrated sales lead development and account cultivation skills, including effective negotiation and closing techniques.

  • Excellent verbal, written, computer communication, and technical presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and positive business relationships.
