Ameresco Senior Project Manager in Remote, Ohio

Ameresco currently has a new opportunity based in Columbus, OH, area for a Sr. Project Manager to join our construction operations team in support of the construction and successful implementation of ESCO projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily administrative and technical management of renewable construction projects delivering energy savings for public, institutional, industrial, government, and commercial customers.

  • Management of full project budget, project schedule, and financial analysis.

  • Direct interface with Ameresco customers managing customer service, relationships, contracts, etc.

  • Assist Engineering and Development Team in project design and development including scope, subcontractor selection, cost estimation, installation, and project scheduling.

  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to assure competitive cost, best schedule and delivery for all project-related equipment, supply installations, and construction services.

  • Directly manage vendors, subcontractors, and construction managers (site superintendents) to ensure quality control and project delivery on time and within budget, while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

  • Schedule management; update schedules to reflect current information, monitor critical path activities, and track outstanding items.

  • Work closely with the Project Finance, Construction, and O&M Services teams to satisfy all requirements for commercial operation and financial close.

  • Evaluate technologies and equipment; recommend most suitable for each application.

  • Provide project reports, documentation, technical assistance, support, and collaboration.

  • Manage project expenditures and job cost accounting processes: including accuracy, documentation, approvals, payment reporting, monthly forecasting and tracking.

  • Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices and codes.

  • Perform other duties as required.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

  • Minimum of five (5) years electrical, mechanical, engineering or industrial power construction project management work experience focusing on complex facility infrastructure construction, renovations, retrofits, upgrades, building controls and automation, energy services, and renewable technology.

    Additional Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated work experience with building technologies; direct digital energy controls systems, variable frequency drives, high efficiency motors, central plant chiller and boiler installations, lighting retrofits, water conservation, building envelope, vertical transportation, roofing systems, warranty and service requirements is preferred.

  • Proven experience with OSHA safety standards, mechanical and electrical systems development, engineering, and project management regulations, practices, and codes.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and foster positive business relationships.

  • Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Project, AutoCAD.

  • Valid Driver’s license in good standing, issued by resident state.

  • May require on-call response and travel.
