GE Healthcare Staff Network Architect - OT & Remote Access in Remote, Netherlands

Job Description Summary

This is an exciting role in the CTO organization spanning multiple disciplines providing remote connectivity to GEHC employees, contractors, suppliers, & customers.

As a Staff Network Architect, you will interact with Network, Digital Workplace, Identity, IT Security, and Service Desk to deliver the GE Healthcare remote connectivity product, HC Connect. You will represent the product on multiple projects as the product’s technical expert ensuring alignment with security practices while enabling business productivity.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Be a part of the team that owns GEHC’s remote connectivity product

  • Work independently and collaborate with your team and with other teams across business

  • Lead and contribute to design discussions and reviews

  • Expert in breaking down problems and estimate time for executing tasks

  • Be skilled in providing oversight and mentoring team members

  • Show the ability to effectively delegate work

  • Demonstrate the ability to make informed technology choices after due diligence and impact assessment

  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) on multiple product components

  • Possess advanced domain knowledge and show great customer focus

  • Demonstrate clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions

  • Articulate the need for scalability and automation and understand the importance of improving quality through testing

  • Be an expert in assessing network performance and optimizing/improving it through design and best practices

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

  • 4+ years of experience working in a heterogeneous IT infrastructure environment, with various IT systems, technologies, platforms, concepts, and applications.

  • 2+ years of experience working with remote access or SASE solutions

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, iOS, Android

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with cloud networking, operational technology, GRE, IPSec, SASE, ZTNA, etc.

  • Experience with identity-based access solutions and policy management

  • Proven design development deployment and configuration experience

  • IP fundamentals (IP sub-netting, SNMP, MIB, Syslog) experience

  • Strong communication skills with all levels of the organization: customer, service desk, engineer/architect, leadership

  • Hands-on experience deploying IT services using automation and DevOps concepts

Technical Expertise

  • Demonstrated experience with Palo Alto solutions including Prisma Access SASE and Next Generation Firewall

  • Demonstrated experience with BeyondTrust suite for privledged access, operational technology, and cloud security

  • Strong knowledge of AWS and/or Azure networking

  • Experience with Identity services including Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, LDAP, and IGA/IdM

  • Prior technical writing experience desired

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, Segment Routing, MP-BGP-VPNs, VLL, VPLS, VxLAN based services.

  • Demonstrated hands-on Experience with various development frameworks/technologies such as: Ansible/Ansible Tower, Java, Python, & Restful API

  • Experience automating SDN/NFV/NFVI Infrastructure

  • Experience using an automated configuration management system (Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt, etc.)

  • Experience in managing version control systems such as Git

  • Advanced knowledge of one or more scripting languages, Python preferred
