Ameresco Energy Analyst in Remote, New Jersey

Ameresco currently has a new opportunity for an Energy Analyst position where the primary role is to review customer applications for accuracy, calculate energy savings through engineering analysis and provide application quality control review.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently perform and/or review energy-related analyses which may include: analysis of utility bills, estimation of energy efficiency measure savings and costs, measure engineering analysis, confirmation of energy savings and program benefit-cost analysis.

  • Independently manage assigned tasks, analyses, and projects to the project manager’s satisfaction.

  • Provide all necessary support, reports, and documentation required by management for commercial project review

  • Communicate analytical methods and results to clients and customers in a clear and effective manner.

  • Develop and document analysis methodology for projects or processes.

  • Develop and demonstrate expertise by staying at the forefront of the industry in terms of methods and/or innovations.

  • Provide strategies to maximize project efficiencies. Interface with commercial customers and trade allies in support of program outreach and project data clarification, and

  • Other duties as required.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy, Environmental Science or related field preferred

  • 1 to 2 years related experience working on energy efficiency projects, energy savings programs, M&V, O&M or related areas

Additional Qualifications:

  • Exposure to projects involving upgrades and retrofits at commercial customer sites

  • Familiarity with Energy Star, AHRI, ASHRAE and other industry standards

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

  • Experience with energy modeling software

  • Working directly with customers

  • Excellent verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills required

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and business relationships.

  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to follow through on multiple tasks and priorities

  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information,

  • Experience in energy efficiency or related field

  • Commercial energy efficiency program experience preferred

  • Proven ability to gather, validate, and analyze quantitative data and information

  • Understanding of engineering principles associated with energy saving measures
