Job Highlights:

  • Establishes consistent month-end settings across all regions for the Accounts Receivable (A/R) and revenue analytic system tool (Crowe RCA) ensuring necessary rate changes are incorporated.

  • Supports the hospital finance revenue management team in completion of the month-end close process.

  • Assists with month-end analytical review including identifying and researching variances.

  • Coordinates the process for and assists in the completion of the annual strategic and operational budgets related to net patient service revenue. Provides guidance to staff and plans staff resources needed for budget completion.

  • Engages in effective communication and interaction with Revenue Cycle Organization to assist in the accurate valuation of month end patient accounts receivable.

  • Serves as the initial contact for external and internal audit related to A/R valuation and Net Patient Service Revenue.

  • Coordinates process for providing schedules and support.

  • Serves as the primary contact and coordinates the process for completion of annual surveys, rating agency questionnaires and other requests/disclosures.

  • Coordinates and/or completes the accurate and timely reporting and analysis of special project requests.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs major role in financial analytics and/or financial statement preparation. Reviews technical areas.

  • Reviews, analyzes and ensures the accuracy of the financial and statistical reports for presentation to management.

  • Responsible for management functions including activities related to staffing such as recruitment, hiring, performance evaluation, and compensation determination.

  • Conducts special financial studies and projections and develops recommendations for financial decision making.

  • Designs, develops and modifies financial models through use of appropriate databases; manages special projects as assigned, including research, forecasting and exploring viable alternatives.

  • Presents proactive ideas about creating operational efficiencies.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree

EXPERIENCE

  • Five years’ experience and demonstrated progressive leadership responsibility.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.

  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.

  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.

  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.

  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.

  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.

  • Rare climbing.
