Galvion SQL Database Administrator in Remote, Massachusetts

We are a passionate, global, and fast-paced team collaborating with several strategic partners and are committed to enhancing the overall agility and survivability of the modern warfighter and tactical operator.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Galvion is looking for an experienced IT professional to join the Information Technology team as a technical System & Database Administrator with knowledge of Infor's ERP CSI SyteLine and/or Visual Manufacturing.

Galvion is involved on a long term project affecting multiple sites that are migrating from on-premise Infor ERP/SQL Server applications to Infor's CSI ERP cloud solution.

This position will have to work out of our Marlborough, MA, Newport, VT or Portsmouth, NH facility with periodic travel to other sites. This is a HYBRID role not REMOTE.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Core DBA functions

  • Manage MS SQL Server database activities involving environments replication and database(s) performance optimization for existing on-premises SQL Server databases.

  • Knowledge of MS SQL Server Management Studio components

  • Object Explorer

  • Template Explorer

  • Solution Explorer

  • Visual Database Tools

  • Query and Text Editors

  • Monitor and adjust, as appropriate, the size and growth of existing databases.

  • Support business users with queries optimization used with Power BI reporting/analytics tool.

  • Replicate databases into development and/or test environments as needed.

  • Coordinate migration of data from on-premises databases to the cloud.

Application System Administration functions (shared responsibilities)

  • Work with 3rd party vendors on issues involving applications integrating with CSI.

  • Understand and manage system configuration.

  • Create and/or modify roles in the system.

  • Support reporting and analytics using Power BI.

  • Provide technical assistance with other systems within the organization.

  • Provide technical support including assisting with any upgrades.

  • Manage ETL technical processes to migrate data from non-CSI applications.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

  • 5+ Years of IT experience.

  • 3 + Years with using/managing Infor's SyteLine/Visual Manufacturing ERP desired

  • Previous database and system administration experience with MS SQL Server database, and Infor's ERP products.

  • Knowledge of Mongoose software a plus.
