GE Healthcare Commercial Finance Principal in Remote, Massachusetts

Job Description Summary

The Commercial Finance Principal will be a key finance business partner to the organization as well as support select finance strategy projects. They will provide valuable guidance and support to the company and support the performance agenda, including delivery of all financial metrics while ensuring a robust control and risk management environment. They will also leverage finance processes, standards, teams, systems, and data to drive efficiency and effectiveness and support the financial planning and forecasting process.

Supports business unit sales and marketing initiatives/strategy including partnerships, business plan development, international sales reporting, external customer interaction, new product development and commercialization by executing and delivering research and data analysis, financial modeling of the company’s market segments, competition and product mix.

Job Description

  • Hybrid position in the Boston/Burlington area

  • Own the standard monthly financial reporting that is necessary to measure the financial results and guide future business decisions. This includes monthly and quarterly financial packages that track trends and performance of sales, backlog, costs, GM% trend, expenses, cash flow, and other critical metrics.

  • Partner with commercial finance channel leads to consolidate revenue forecasts by therapeutic area to inform demand planning & GM% forecasting

  • Lead the partnership with the data & analytics team to align S&OP process with commercial revenue plan.

  • Support the annual sales target setting process; partner closely with marketing leadership to align S&M spend to sales targets in each therapeutic area / geography.

  • Lead commercial finance support for the commercial operations team & other select commercial teams.

  • Assist with integration activities with GE Healthcare including streamlining processes for best practices within financial reporting and internal controls.

  • Provide financial analysis and decision support, as necessary, to internal customers. This support should include proactively scanning the market and our own data for opportunities to improve the business.

  • Lead in the design of new processes to improve the quality and productivity of the team and the business in general.

  • Present financial results and financial plans to various audiences among employees, management, and others when necessary.

  • Work on specific unique projects that might call for complex financial modeling, or project management skills.

  • Reporting Global P&L, Budget vs Actual, Capex, Headcount, GAAP v Non-GAAP reporting, cash flow, T&E, and Global backlog, OPEX

  • Revenue analysis and reporting (weekly/monthly/qtrly), Inventory & working capital metrics such as DPO, DSO, inventory turns.

  • Formulates, recommends and implements product pricing strategy and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (masters is a plus)

  • 7+ years of progressive financial planning and reporting experience.

  • Experience working in a multinational matrixed organization.

  • Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), presentation, facilitation, project management and influencing skills

  • Advanced MS Excel user (required)

  • Experience with Hyperion Essbase reporting tool (or equivalent)

  • Experience with accounting systems, databases, and reporting tools

  • Have an analytical orientation and possess strong problem-solving skills, including financial modeling skills. The knowledge of an array of analytical methods, and the ability to deploy the appropriate approach in a timely manner, is critical.

  • Team player with leadership instincts

  • Self-starter who can quickly and independently assess business requirements and become a trusted an integral part of the team.

  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial environment

  • Strong technical aptitude a plus, as demonstrated by engineering or other technical degree
