Job Description Summary

This role provides technical support and LMS management primarily for the Education Services team at GE Vernova Electrification SW. This includes keeping track of attendance, certifications, and feedback. Providing support and guidance to trainees throughout the training process ensures a smooth and positive learning experience, and access to materials and training environments. Can also include other tehcnical tasks such as technical support, software installation, software upgrades, and database management and migration for on-premise installed systems, virtual machine, and cloud-based software. Leverage subject matter experts and product management to learn new technical software management and follow documentation for installation and upgrades.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Proficient with database management, reporting, and learning management systems (LMS).

  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions, and checks for understanding.

  • Own the resolution of technical issues related to training environments.

  • Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

  • Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.

  • Ability to adapt to a matrix environment and successfully interact with other teams and functions.

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires experience in Learning Management Systems & Education in the software industry.

  • Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, is organized and detail oriented. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
