Information Technology Strategies Technical Lead in Remote, District Of Columbia

Information Technology Strategies, LLC. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Technical Lead to work for our company.

Summary:

  • Must be able to pass DHS Background check (Basic eligibility requirements include: U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history, no recent or pending bankruptcies).

  • Client Agency is Department of Homeland Security.

  • Will be responsible for empowering cross-functional teams to meet the functional requirements set forth by the Product Owner.

  • Will be responsible for communicating technical options, and associated tradeoffs and risks, with key stakeholders.

  • Will foster the use of Agile practices within teams to enable delivery of deployable software within specified times.

  • Will participate in design sessions, sprint ceremonies and cross functional and integration team meetings.

  • Will provide guidance and oversight of testing practices and code reviews and ensure the security and integrity of the code base and product.

  • Will collaborate with team members and integration partners to develop new features as well as to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in all environments.

  • Will manage several integrated environments with multiple systems including connection and security configurations.

  • Will monitor and maintain the application and immutable infrastructure to ensure performance, stability, and security.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass DHS Background check (Basic eligibility requirements include: U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history, no recent or pending bankruptcies).

  • Must have 7+ years of relevant experience.

  • Must have experience in developing responsive web application development for federal clients.

  • Must have experience developing cross-platform and native IOS/Android mobile applications for federal clients.

  • Must have experience overseeing testing practices and code reviews to ensure security and integrity.

  • Must have experience working in a cloud-based environment (AWS, Azure, etc.)

  • Must have hands-on and theoretical experience with Agile framework or Agile software delivery.

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with the product owners and managers, developers, and designers to build easy to use, software applications using a variety of leading-edge technologies and experience building digital services solutions.

  • Must have proficiency with the following software delivery tools: Jira, Atlassian, .NET, Java.

  • Must be willing and able to participate in an oral presentation preparation and code challenge.

Preferences:

  • An ACTIVE U.S. Department of Homeland Security or U.S. Department of Defense security Top Secret clearance.

  • Located in the DC, Maryland, or Virginia area.

  • Previous experience participating in oral presentations in and code challenges.

  • Experience with 508 compliance and standards.
