Staff Software Engineer (Front-End)

We are seeking an exceptional and experienced Staff Frontend Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Staff Frontend Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading the frontend development efforts, driving technical excellence, and mentoring junior engineers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect, design, and implement scalable and innovative frontend solutions. During the first six months, you will:

· Lead the design and implementation of complex frontend systems, architectures, and frameworks to support the development of scalable web applications.

· Provide technical leadership and guidance to frontend engineers, including code reviews, architectural reviews, and mentoring.

· Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver high-quality frontend solutions.

· Drive the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and design patterns to ensure the development of maintainable, performant, and scalable frontend codebases.

· Architect and implement frontend infrastructure, tools, and processes to streamline development workflows and enhance productivity.

· Stay updated on emerging frontend technologies, tools, and trends, and evaluate their potential impact on our technical stack and projects.

· Champion and advocate for frontend engineering best practices, including accessibility, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.

· Troubleshoot and debug complex frontend issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

· Collaborate with QA engineers to develop comprehensive test strategies and ensure the delivery of high-quality, bug-free software.

· Participate in strategic planning, roadmap development, and technical decision-making to align frontend initiatives with business goals and objectives.

Required Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

· Proven experience (5+ years) as a Frontend Software Engineer, with demonstrated expertise in architecting and building scalable web applications.

· Extensive knowledge of modern frontend technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and frontend frameworks/libraries: React.

· Strong understanding of frontend architecture patterns, state management, and design principles.

· Experience with frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel), package managers (e.g., npm, Yarn), and version control systems (e.g., Git).

· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues.

· Leadership experience, with a track record of mentoring junior engineers, leading technical initiatives, and driving projects to successful outcomes.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

· Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and familiarity with project management tools like Jira or Asana.

· A passion for learning and staying updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in frontend engineering.

Preferred Experience:

· Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure, GCP)

· Experience with server-side rendering (e.g., Next.js) and/or progressive web app (PWA) development.

· Knowledge of performance optimization techniques, web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), and SEO best practices.

· Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright – preferred, Jest, Enzyme, Cypress) and automated testing practices.

· Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).

· Contributions to open-source projects, participation in developer communities, or attendance at tech conferences/events.
