About the role:

Strong background in .NET platform engineering who will play a critical role in guiding the development teams through the complexities of migrating from monolithic systems to microservices, adopting event-driven architectures, and ensuring high-quality, robust infrastructure projects through comprehensive automated testing strategies.

Principal Responsibilities:

● Automated Testing Strategy Development: design, develop, and implement comprehensive automated testing strategies that support the transition to microservices and event-driven systems. This includes defining best practices for unit, integration, and behavior-driven testing.

● Infrastructure Testing: ensure infrastructure projects, including those related to build pipelines, deployment mechanisms, and service orchestration, are covered with appropriate automated tests to guarantee reliability and performance.

● End-to-End (E2E) Testing Framework: build and maintain an E2E testing framework that can be triggered automatically post-deployment to the QA environment. This framework should cater to comprehensive product smoke testing, covering high-risk scenarios to ensure system reliability and performance.

● Code Quality and Review: Work closely with development teams to review code and architecture, ensuring best practices for testability and maintainability are followed. Advocate for clean code practices and solid design principles.

● Mentoring and Leadership: provide guidance and mentorship to other SDETs and software engineers on best practices in testing and quality assurance. Lead by example in implementing testing frameworks and writing test cases.

● Collaboration and Support: collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, and product teams to create and implement testing frameworks that seamlessly integrate into the CI/CD pipeline, enhancing the development workflow and productivity.

● Test Automation Infrastructure: design and maintain the infrastructure and tools necessary to automate testing across various levels (unit, integration, system) efficiently.

● Performance Testing: Develop and execute performance tests to ensure that systems meet reliability, scalability, and performance goals.

● Troubleshooting and Resolution: identify, diagnose, and effectively address system deficiencies. Work with the development team to resolve complex issues and improve system resilience.

Requirements:

Academic: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent careers.

Experience and tools:

● Minimum 5 years of experience as an SDET or in a similar role with a focus on .NET technologies. ● Proven expertise in .NET framework and .NET Core, including experience with C#, ASP.NET, Entity Framework, and Dapper.

● Strong background in designing and implementing automated testing strategies for both monolithic architectures and microservices.

● Proven ability in building E2E testing frameworks that support automated execution in CI/CD pipelines and facilitate product smoke testing for high-risk scenarios.

● Experience with behavior-driven development (BDD) and testing frameworks such as SpecFlow, NUnit, xUnit, or MSTest.

● Familiarity with event-driven architecture, including technologies like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Event Hubs.

● Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, TeamCity).

● Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) is preferred.

● Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills, ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

● English: Level C1 is required.
