GE Vernova Senior Account Manager - Digital Grid Sales in Remote, Switzerland

Job Description Summary

We have an exciting opportunity within GE Digital | Grid Solutions for a Sales Manager to join a dynamic and innovative team!

This is a customer facing role where you’ll be responsible for winning new business, developing, and converting pipelines and making an impact on relationships, projects and programs that affect your customer base in the Transmission and Distribution domain in the DACH region. You’ll be guided by commercial practices and policies and have significant control and influence over commercial properties. You’ll collaborate with the broader Grid Solution organization as well as the other GE Vernova businesses.

Job Description

The challenge

  • Responsible for sales of GE Digital Grid solutions by developing new customer accounts and grow business volume with existing direct customers.

  • Create, communicate, and execute sales/growth strategies and well-defined account + action plans for each assigned customer and key product/service offerings.

  • Develop and execute Go-To-Market plans for the territory, also working with our partner ecosystem.

  • Bring outcome selling experience and skills to this role to lead GE’s outcome selling approach at each of our strategic customers to drive growth in region orders, sales and operating profit.

  • Lead outcome selling account planning process with each strategic account to establish a deep understanding of their business outcomes and needs, and align and quantify our value proposition with our customer’s specific business outcomes,

  • Proactively educate and influence customer businesses through financials, specifications, product approvals, and identification of key functionalities requested by the customers for input into R&D plan.

  • Developing specialized knowledge of latest commercial developments in own area and communication skills to influence others. Contributes towards strategy & policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.

  • You’ll have in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others, along with working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

Your Background

  • Significant experience in the Direct Digital Sales with enterprise software (real-time systems, asset management and analytics) in T&D

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree from an accredited university, college or equivalent, preferably in Electrical Engineering

  • Customer orientated/ Growth mindset

  • First class sales acumen with strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent negotiating & closing skills

  • You’ll be able to generate immediate credibility on different levels externally and internally

  • Ability to develop key customer relationships and to promote win-win sales strategies

  • Proven track record establishing relationships at C-level: CEO, CTO, CIO, CDO and CFO level service provider executives

  • Full proficiency in German and English imperative, additional French and /or Italian are advantageous

  • Unyielding commitment to integrity and the GE values

  • Proactive work style, creativity, energy. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a distributed, pan-European and matrix sales structure. Self-starter with high energy level is key to success in this position

  • Existing network with decision makers and influencers within T&D-segment in region

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
