Job Description

Summary

Seeking a versatile Senior Project Manager to oversee a range of complex projects, from inception through execution, within the Patient Advisory Services Division (PASD) of the Clinical Research Group. As a key member of the PASD IT PMO, you will have the opportunity to drive technology enablement and innovation as we move towards the future of patient-driven clinical research. Responsible for cultivating strong relationships and establishing trust with business and IT internal stakeholders. Collaborating closely with global cross-functional teams, your role will involve delivering effective solutions that drive desired business outcomes.

Senior Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of IT and business transformation projects, ensuring they are executed within scope, budget, and timeline.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and success criteria.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, task assignments, and dependencies.

  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project deliverables are achieved.

  • Communicate project updates, status reports, and key milestones to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.

  • Foster strong relationships with internal business leaders, IT teams, and end-users to understand their needs and provide consultative guidance on technology solutions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, both locally and globally, to drive project execution and achieve desired business outcomes.

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations are established.

  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and provide financial forecasts, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial guidelines.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in project management methodologies.

  • Drive change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, training, and communication, to ensure smooth project implementation and adoption.

  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements, incorporating them into project planning and execution.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Proven experience in successfully leading and managing complex IT and/or business transformation projects

  • 7+ years of experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above job duties

  • Experience using Planview or other Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools preferred

  • Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred

  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in the IT and business transformation space

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong project management skills and track record of successful project execution

  • Expertise in managing project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources effectively

  • Critical thinker and proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact/influence/negotiate effectively at all levels

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence collaboration across multiple and diverse groups

  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment

  • Ability to delegate, effectively prioritize own and project team members workload

  • Ability to effectively use applications such as Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.

  • Strong verbal and written communication, time management, and organizational skills
