Job Description Summary

The Clinical Application Specialist (CAS) will deliver technical and clinical expertise within the Ultrasound portfolio by providing excellent education and training support to clinical end-users. The CAS is a clinical expert supporting the pre-sale product demonstrations (or clinical trial support), as well as post-sale installation, training and/or customer service activities to support sales objectives for their geography. Responsibilities may also include ongoing post-sale customer support including on site clinical in-servicing and go-live support.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and clinical leadership to customers by demonstrating the full range of Ultrasound product features including potential uses, product capabilities and benefits to customers as needed.

  • Develop and deliver product training on equipment use to customers in Point-of-Care Ultrasound, including MSK, Fertility, Vascular, Cardiac, and Interventional Ultrasound.

  • Monitor customer installations of ultrasound products within assigned territory/region to improve customer satisfaction and maintain customer relationships.

  • Support trade shows and professional conferences by performing product demonstration and customer training.

  • Use market and product knowledge to assist sales team in developing sales, marketing, and customer service strategies.

  • Improve customer satisfaction and socket retention through continuing education on optimization of equipment utilization by customer.

  • Provide regular feedback on customer satisfaction and needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.

  • 5+ years of imaging experience in a diagnostic clinical setting, preferably a hospital environment.

  • Experience in Point-of-Care, or Interventional, or Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Imaging.

  • Willingness to travel extensively, both within and outside your specified geographic region with overnight stays depending on geography, and business need.

  • Ability to work flexible schedules as required by customer and business needs, including weekends.

  • Working knowledge of electronic file management and Microsoft Outlook.

  • Ability to teach and train in an effective and organized manner.

  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.

  • Strong analytical thinking, for product troubleshooting.

  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Valid Driver's License and Passport.

Desired Characteristics

  • Clinical experience in teaching hospital/university/research settings.

  • Experience with interventional and/or ultrasound-guided needle procedures.

  • Registration as a Cardiac Sonographer

  • Experience in adult training, including presentation experience.

  • Ability to build rapport, establish credibility and create a non-threatening environment for learning.

  • Bilingual in English/French.

This position is for Western Canada, ideally located in British Columbia or Alberta. Candidates must be located proximally to a metropolitan, international airport.
