Job Description

SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE - $2,500 for day shift hire and $3,500 for night shift hire - this will be paid out over a 1-year period

You Will Spend Your Time...

(Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Monitoring and operating the equipment on the production line in a 24 / 7 / 365 operation

  • Complying with all company policies including, but not limited to, Quality, Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, GMP’s, HACCP, Early Reporting of Pain, and Attendance

  • Monitoring the manufacturing process and equipment to assure it is operating properly and make minor mechanical adjustments when necessary

  • Recognizing atypical/incorrect conditions and contact the Lead

  • Maintaining accurate written records or logs

  • Assembling and disassembling production equipment as required by processes and Work Instructions

  • Housekeeping

  • Vacation & sick coverage of opposite shift when required

  • Cooperates/assists co-workers as required.

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • Must be able to read, communicate, comprehend, and follow oral and written procedures and instructions

  • Must have the basic understanding of computers to check email and navigate the internet for safety training and have the ability to learn new systems quickly

  • Previous work experience in a food manufacturing/GMP environment is preferred

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English is required

  • Previous fork-lift experience is preferred

  • Mechanical aptitude; experience troubleshooting equipment and machines is preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work rotating 12- hour night shift, 2-2-3 schedule; including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed on a regular basis is required (5pm – 5am)

  • Must be willing and able to work in manufacturing environments to include; wearing safety equipment, such as earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, hardhats, hairnets, and steel-toed shoes are required

  • While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to stand; walk (up and down stairs); twist; bend; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb for extended periods of time; and will require the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds is required
