Applied Materials Senior IT Infrastructure Developer in Rehovot, Israel

We are seeking senior R&D Infrastructure developer, to join our brilliant engineering team in developing next gen computing systems tailored for our solutions. Team player who has a strong background as Senior System Administrator or DevOps professional with expertise in automation development on Linux platforms.

Our Group: CNS (Computing Network Storage)

The PDC division of Applied Materials designs, develops, manufactures, and supports advanced tools for the semiconductor industry, including computing devices like servers, storage systems, and networks.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop tools and automation infrastructure to deploy new systems and platforms, including multiple Operating Systems and architectures.

  • You will be tasked with the challenge of making design ideas a reality and are required to build sub systems with just a few specifications.

  • Design or configure, develop, modify, software of infrastructure and operating systems that meets project requirements.

  • Write and modify code and backend processing.

  • Platform Performance/Sizing.

  • Create production and running procedure documentation: define and qualify full build book and full sub system ATP tests.

  • Provide 3rd level escalation.

  • Create and deliver compelling presentations that effectively communicates information and ideas.

What should you have?

  • A proven track record of minimum 4 years, of professional experience as a System Administrator or DevOps in an enterprise organization – Must

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive expertise and hands-on experience in at least 4 out of 7 domains: Linux operating systems, server virtualization, containers/Kubernetes, networking, security (firewalls/antivirus), storage, and monitoring/observability – Must

  • Ability to present information in a clear, engaging, and convincing manner – Must.

  • Strong programming skills at least 1 out of 4: Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Bash – Must.

  • Ability to research new cutting-edge technologies. Self-learner.

  • Ability to lead complex tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Fluent in English, spoken and written.
