Applied Materials DevOps Software Engineer in Rehovot, Israel

J ob Description

We are looking for a talented DevOps engineer, to join our group and take part in re-shaping the way we deliver software solutions.

As a member of this team you will:

  • Accelerate and improve the release cycle of our products.

  • Influence and shape our software development methodologies.

  • Take part in leading, designing, and implementing CI\CD processes of complex, multi-disciplinary products.

  • Work closely with R&D teams

Requirements :

  • At least 3 years of development in scripting languages (Python/Perl/unix shells/PowerShell) , deep understanding of common development practices and challenges.

  • Deep understanding and knowledge in unix OS.

  • Docker Experience

  • K8S and K3S experience

  • Experience in implementing CI/CD for complex, enterprise software products (Azure DevOps/GitLab)

  • Significant experience in DevOps roles in software development groups.

  • Practical experience with common tools that are used in DevOps processes such as:

  • Build tools (Gradle\ Ant\ Maven)

  • Repository management technologies (Nexus/Artifactory)

  • Source control management tools (GIT/BitBucket)

  • Continuous integration technologies (Jenkins/TeamCity/Anthill Pro) – an advantage.

  • Configuration management software (Ansible/Puppet/Chef) – an advantage.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent – an advantage.

  • Experience with Java/C++/Python (coding, compilation, implementation) - an advantage.

  • Problems solving and solution providing (“Can do”) approach.

  • Enthusiastic automation practitioner.

  • Significant experience with Windows and Linux-based products delivery.
