Job Description

We are looking for a highly talented DevOps Architects Manager to join our unique team of software architects leaders.

You will join a group of top technical talents to lead Applied Materials software organization, can shape our future DevOps solution and educate the organization on the latest technologies and methodologies in the domain of DevOps and manage a group of small DevOps architects’ experts.

Our Group:

We are the R&D Software Architecture Office, our goal is to define, design and lead the strategy of our software solutions, make sure our solutions fulfil the business needs today as in the future.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead a group of DevOps architects

  • Establish roadmaps, technologies, and tools to be used in Agile CI/CD pipelines into traditional, as well as Cloud and Container-based deployments

  • Establish the integration architectures and patterns for DevOps tools implementation and integration

  • Provide technical, management, and educational leadership for Agile/SAFe SDLC processes

  • Lead sessions to build consensus on gaps, solution options, target operating model, and recommendations

  • Lead sessions to assess the business impact of current limitations

  • Analyze existing standards to identify gaps and remedies

  • Creates requirements for Dev teams

  • Evaluate gaps in related to DevOps best practices

  • Work with Management to reflect value and ROI of DevOps strategy

What you should have?

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience delivering software solutions

  • Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipeline design patterns, processes and best practices

  • 5+ years industry experience in DevOps architecture related to Continuous Integration/Delivery solutions & Platform Automation

  • 5+ years' experience in leading or building distributed systems leveraging DevOps and CI/CD practices

  • At least 2 years of system level architecture experience in Linux and Windows-based distributed systems and Application Build, Configuration Management, Deployment & Release Engineering

  • Excellent knowledge (including hands on) of any one of scripting languages: Shell, PowerShell, Python, Ruby

  • Hands on Experience and knowledge of the standard DevOps tools and Software Delivery Processes including: Git, GitLab or GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Cloud-based development ecosystems, Artifactory or Nexus, JIRA, SonarQube, CI Testing tools, HP ALM or equivalent for Issue management, automated deployment pipeline solutions like IBM UrbanCode Deploy, Spinnaker.

  • Data Driven person, with ability to articulate problems and gains with data-baseds logic

  • Java or .NET development experience, with hands-on experience in the automated CI/CD pipeline into production for multiple products

  • Experience with Containers/VM and cloud technologies – a plus

  • Ability to build delivery pipelines for an Air Gapped environment – a plus
