Kohler Co. Industrial Controller in Reggio nell'Emilia, Italy

Location: Reggio Emilia (IT)

We are looking for a Junior Industrial Controller who will be placed within the Finance Department and directly support the Supervisor Plant Controller. The candidate will be responsible for conducting the following activities:

Monitor, measure, and forecast the operating performance of the Diesel engines plant based in Reggio Emilia and co-operate in overseeing the same activities for the India plant.

Collaborate with colleagues in Management Controlling/Finance in Italy and overseas (US and India) on cross-border projects, monthly reporting packages, and annual budgets.

Prepare comments on the relevant section of the P&L for the monthly closing and forecast reporting package for the EMEA and India Region (together with Global Diesel).

Ensure a thorough understanding of the plant operating performance and help provide explanations of variance to budget, forecast and prior year identifying the root causes in case of deviations.

Monitor the main KPIs of the plant (efficiency, productivity, spending, etc.) and contribute to the definition of new ones.

Identify opportunities for margin improvements and expense reductions.

Ensure compliance with existing corporate and group accounting policies, guidelines, and procedures in terms and contributing to their improvement.

Follow up CAPEX process, including financial justification, calculation of profitability and post-investment review.

Education and requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business/economics or management engineering

2-3 years of previous experience as an industrial/plant controller in the manufacturing industry, preferably within a multinational environment

Availability to occasional overseas travel (India)

Skills:

Competencies in medium/high volume manufacturing processes, standard costing, and manufacturing variance analysis

Fluent English knowledge (spoken and written)

Advanced Excel knowledge

Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of SAP and Power BI is considered a plus
