Job Summary:

Under minimal supervision, provides for the general direction of multiple trade personnel, maintains safe operations, delivers quality and timely customer response for services of a multi-craft maintenance and repair shop that includes carpentry, masonry, locksmith, maintenance mechanic, sheet metal, welding, and structural trades.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper utilization of the trades with the objective of maintaining productivity and work efficiencies.

  • Conducts safety observations and assessments and supports the Program Manager Site Safety Program.

  • Conducts evaluation of incoming work order requests provided via Maintenance Connection (MC) to ensure appropriate section response and execution to support Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals and uses MC data to provide recommendations of proper section staffing and organization.

  • Reviews and/or approves subordinate labor charges and maintains control of overtime use and proper labor chargeability to the type of work performed.

  • Works with other trade supervisors to successfully execute large multi-trade work orders/projects.

  • Respond and coordinate required trade resources to cover approved installation weekend outages, as well as urgent/emergency work requests.

  • Manages the requirements for trade licenses, and certifications.

  • Provides support to the development of cost estimates of Project Work Orders by providing input of labor, materials, equipment, and ODC costs and coordinating final product with work control.

  • Maintains a good understanding of the various components of the contract Performance Work Statement, its Common Level of Services, the requirements of the contract Technical Exhibits relevant to the section, and the data required to satisfy the CDRLS required under the contract.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Responsible for conforming to all safe work practices and procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years’ experience in a multi-trade maintenance, repair, and/or construction environment plus general knowledge of Building Codes.

  • Supervisory experience of maintenance, repair, and/or construction trades.

  • Must be able to pass a National Agency Check

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience of maintenance and repair of facilities at large military installations.

  • Working knowledge of commercial Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Maximo or Maintenance Connect
