Experienced Technical Writer needed to document data-integration related features in our high-visibility client’s platform. This assignment requires 6 or more years of experience writing software documentation. Work will include writing online Help content. The audience for this content is technical users and may include system administrators and system implementors.


  • 70% working with GitHub to write, edit, and enhance content / technical writing

  • 20% interacting with PMs on product-related technologies

  • 10% meetings or doing research to make the content more user-friendly


  • 6+ years’ experience writing software documentation with prior experience in writing for cloud-based products and services

  • 1+ year(s) of GitHub experience

  • Experience authoring content using GitHub and Markdown

  • Ability to improve content submitted by others (PMs, developers, writers) to align with writing style guide and branding

  • Strong experience writing software documentation for cloud-based projects

  • Experience interacting with software developers and program / product managers as a subject matter expert

  • Excellent English-language writing skills

  • Understand the project not the process

  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly

  • Must be able to accomplish objectives that span multiple product or subject areas

  • Proactive and strategic problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work under deadline pressure

  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communications, Journalism, English or related field preferred
