Summary:

Meta Reality Labs is building pathbreaking products for all realities - Augmented or Virtual. Our team is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) who will play a key role in defining and driving highly complex, cross-functional Device and SW releases across the stack (Silicon/OS/FW/Apps/Cloud/AI/ML). This role will have the opportunity to work closely with world-class development teams and leaders across the organization to bring together multiple technologies, delivering trustworthy experiences into Meta products (Quest, Quest Pro, Ray-Ban Stories, etc). Our teams work on technologies that span across OS, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and customer facing software to create experiences that millions of our customers love.We are looking for a leader who is a great communicator and collaborator to drive alignment and cross-functional execution across the organization. The right candidate will possess a strong program management background, solid technical depth, and demonstrated experience leading large projects across multiple software teams with strong dependencies to hardware teams. You will have a well-rounded technical background, with experience developing consumer software and/or scalable workflows for machine learning systems. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities, and lead without authority. You are not only able drive execution, but also develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, besides being hands on to get the job done.

Required Skills:

Technical Program Manager, XR Tech Systems Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and manage complex cross-functional device programs, facilitating relationships across multiple teams to identify risks, manage dependencies and optimize resources.

  2. Drive visibility, accountability, and execution with high quality across their areas of development for the organization.

  3. Able to disambiguate technology stack and roadmap, technical challenges, business needs, and develop a plan for mitigating risks and delivering features that delight our customers. Work across Silicon, HW, Ops, OS, Apps, Cloud, AI/ML areas.

  4. Develop end-to-end program plans, influence teams to deliver against them, and keep the org and leadership informed on progress.

  5. Work with engineering and product management leadership to define and revise the long-term strategy for the organization.

  6. Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and product development processes in a quickly-changing and dynamic environment, drive impact through deployment of key initiatives and garner adoption of those processes.

  7. Establish expertise in an area, becoming the go-to escalation point for execution, leader for driving visibility across the program, and orchestrator for managing the integration across your program area.

  8. Drive technical excellence within the team, coordinating and contributing to engineering deliverables including architectural diagrams, specifications, launch criteria, and test plans.

  9. Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases.

  10. Become a trusted partner for leadership and cross functional teams do develope and execute high complex deliverables

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

  2. 10+ years experience as a program manager, leading complex hardware and/or software development programs.

  3. Experience delivering technical programs or products from inception to delivery.

  4. Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.

  5. Proven communicator who can translate high-level goals into tangible action plans, and vice-versa and expertise in communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  6. Experience operating autonomously across multi-disciplinary teams, demonstrating thought leadership.

  7. Demonstrated experience to lead execution across highly ambiguous, complex products and programs, with experience to make technical and product tradeoffs balancing business needs and technical constraints.

  1. Experience managing a technology area across multiple generations with CV/ML based technologies

  2. Experience in delivering CE products in OEM engagements

  3. Experience of developing and shipping AR/VR/MR software on AOSP or custom OS

  4. Experience of working across the stack - from custom silicon to end customer experiences

Public Compensation:

$195,000/year to $267,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
