We are looking for a solid Technical Program Manager II to help define and deliver capabilities focused on empowering game creators to realize their dreams of connecting with gamers everywhere. We believe that investing in our ubiquitous platform, including game publishers and players, is key to growing the reach and opportunity for Xbox and are looking for passionate individuals to help us on this mission.

In this role, you will drive strategic initiatives focused on improving our end-to-end store, and game publishing experiences across the Xbox ecosystem. You will be responsible for defining and delivering end-to-end features that combine innovative service capabilities and beautifully designed customer experiences. You will work with engineers and business experts to scope new initiatives, design solutions, coordinate with partner teams, and oversee execution, launch, and iteration of new features.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product management, business, user research, design, and cross-functional engineering to define, scope, design and deliver technical specifications for player growth, engagement, and monetization feature areas that enable game creator success.

  • Contribute to the definition of program(s) goals and provides input to the prioritization for the group of features/feature areas.

  • Partners with teams to collect performance metrics and derive insights that lead to productive courses of action to improve development, iteration, and implementation of a group of features or feature areas.

  • Working across a large-scale, geographically diverse organization to deliver business outcomes.

  • Influence for impact - Act as a trusted resource and advisor to a wide network of colleagues with diverse personalities, creating influence strategies that cross organizational boundaries to achieve broad business goals, and anticipating issues or implications that their ideas would have on others and pursuing mutually beneficial strategies.

  • Teamwide communications on feature development progress and evangelizing your area in internal and external forums.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent technical education/experience AND 2+ years of experience in product/technical program management, software engineering, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos.

  • Proficient verbal and written communication and collaboration skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to understand and map complex technical systems and rally cross-functional engineering teams towards common goals.

  • Solid analytical ability and data driven decision making.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, navigate uncertain situations, and drive for clarity.

Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
