In today's world, it's important to be secure both while accessing workplace resources on premises and off premises. On our team, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer where we put security first by simplifying the experience for administrators to create and control hybrid workplace experiences and configurations in an experience called "Global Secure Access." Own and drive the experience for how applications, internet resources, and Microsoft resources are managed for our customers while they are on site and off site, and create a clear experience for them that works seamlessly for the end user and the administrator.

Responsibilities

  • Simplify the data experience for how we save concepts like application metadata and how policies and configurations impact the end user using both internal Microsoft technologies and Azure Kubernetes Services resourcing.

  • Own and merge multiple services across the SSE (Security Service Edge) stack and determine the future technology stack for how to execute this vision

  • Mentor and technically lead early in career engineers in spaces ranging from technological, project management, and live site

  • Work directly with customers on a building products, early access previews, and on customer reported incidents and use this data to inform future focus points on the team

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Pythono OR equivalent experience.

  • Experience mentoring and creating technical bars for early in career engineers

  • Experience working in large scale cloud services including but not limited to Azure or AWS

  • Fullstack experience

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
