Azure Networking operates and manages Microsoft’s global network which is one of the largest networks on earth. Distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks is the top threat that impacts the availability of services in Cloud. Azure DDoS protection service provides protection against DDoS attacks for all Microsoft (Azure, Office365, Bing, Sharepoint) services as well as workloads hosted by external customers in Azure. The Azure network security team continues to innovate its DDoS Protection service, pushing new scale and features into the cloud to meet the growing needs of our customers.

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Redmond team, to work on unique and highly visible projects in the network security area that would shape the future of our DDoS Protection capabilities. The outcome will directly impact new business opportunities for Azure. You will be responsible for defining, driving execution and adoption of these capabilities with significant business impact. You will have the opportunity to work in a broad range of technical areas, and across component teams inside Azure, and within the Cloud + AI division. Responsibilities

  • Product management of key Azure DDoS Protection capabilities with close collaboration with the engineering team.

  • Interact with our most important customers to address their questions and feedback to support our planning processes.

  • Develop effective, collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams and drive alignment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development.

  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional / Preferred Qualifcations:

  • Networking experience and understanding of network technologies.

  • Demonstrated technical problem solving and communication skills.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with rapidly changing requirements.

  • Demonstrated leadership and cross-team skills.

  • Experience interacting with enterprise customers.

  • Network security experience.

  • 7+ years Program Management/Product Management experience defining and shipping products.

  • 7+ years developing strategic solutions requiring participation across organizational boundaries.

  • BS or MS in computer science or electrical engineering desired. Advanced technical degree or MBA a plus.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
