You will be partnering with a team of dedicated researchers, developers, and engineers. You will operate at the intersection of wearable devices, AI, and reusable software to build a next generation research platform.

Research Software Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Work with a cross functional group spanning multiple teams to define technical goals and lead implementation

  2. Effectively communicate complex features and systems in detail

  3. Understand industry & company-wide trends to help assess & develop new technologies

  4. Partner & collaborate with organization leaders to help improve the level of performance of the team & organization

  5. Understand the goals, strategy, and engineering bottlenecks of the organization

  6. Advocate for higher product quality and engineering efficiency

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  2. Experience leading projects with industry-wide impact

  3. Experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions

  4. Experience in mentoring/influencing senior engineers across organizations

  5. Experience in driving large cross-functional/industry-wide engineering efforts

  6. 12+ years of programming experience

  7. 12+ years of experience with building large-scale applications, or similar experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. BS degree in Computer Science or related field

  2. Experience building backend services or platforms

  3. Experience building AR/VR products or infra from ideation to shipping

  4. Experience shipping products to millions of customers or have started a new line of product

  5. Experience with virtual reality (Rift, VIVE, Gear VR, etc.)

Public Compensation:

$264,000/year to $342,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
