We are the Azure Care Platform team in Azure CXP, our primary mission is to provide AI based contextually available support + troubleshooting experiences to Azure customers when and where they need help. We enable other Azure product/service teams to build a best-in-class experiences on top of our self-served extensible platform.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for building end to end world-class Natural language Processing (NLP) based support experiences in the Azure portal, and own one of the most critical services that customers rely on when they are looking for help from Microsoft. You will also be responsible for owning and building next generation of control plane public facing APIs for support experiences for First Party (1P) and Third Party (3P) customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including our Product Managers, Designers, Partners and Customers to deliver a seamless, extensible, highly reliable and performant experience that meets the unique needs of Azure customers.

  • We use various technologies in building our products, such as: C#, Azure, Service Fabric, Azure Kubernetes, JavaScript, AJAX, React, Web API etc.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python o OR equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of experience with one or more cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, etc.)

  • 3+ years people management experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python o OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python o OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years people management experience.

Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
