The Azure Stack team’s products are focused on bringing the power of Azure to business scenarios at the Edge, scenarios previously barred from using Azure directly. We enable customers to host compute and storage capacity on their premises and use the manageability, observability, and automation expected from Azure to light up new scenarios and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

  • Drive technical efforts through the requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, validation and support phases, working closely with partner teams across multiple countries.

  • Represent your features’ needs and those of your team in planning and prioritization conversations and report your progress and challenges to leadership.

  • Successfully manage multiple efforts simultaneously, prioritize workload effectively, and delivering high-quality results within budget and timeline constraints.

  • Effectively manage tradeoffs between cost, schedule, and business impact by collaborating with stakeholders and other disciplines to implement successful solutions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience building reliable, distributed systems at scale.

  • 5+ years of managing, building, and growing teams.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years of people management experience.

  • Experience in cloud development principles and patterns, particularly loosely coupled architectures and micro-services.

  • Ability for setting and driving towards measurable goals.

  • Effective collaboration skills with ability to develop key partnerships.

  • Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP.

Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
