The Planner team is looking for a Principal PM (Product Manager) Manager. This person will be experienced AI product leader who can manage our team of product managers to transform the way we manage our work. We are building ground-breaking AI technology to dramatically increase the productivity of users and teams. You will lead our fast-paced, agile team with your passion and vision for AI systems and experiences. By partnering with Microsoft’s Copilot technology and generative AI platform teams, you’ll help define the product vision and strategy for how customers get things done. You’ll work closely with engineering, design, research, and marketing teams to deliver innovative and impactful solutions that reach tens of millions of customers worldwide.

Microsoft Path team helps customers along their journey from the initial idea to the final realization of their goals – from Idea to Plan to Done . We are responsible for collaborative work management products including Microsoft Project, Planner, To Do, and Visio. Responsibilities

  • Act as a product leader within the Path team, providing customer-centric and data-driven thought leadership and direction setting.

  • Define and drive the product roadmap and priorities for AI investments and determine where/how best to leverage generative AI tools and systems within our portfolio.

  • Collaborate and align with multiple stakeholders across Microsoft, including engineering, design, research, marketing, sales, and support teams, to deliver end-to-end product experiences that delight customers and meet business objectives.

  • Conduct customer research, market analysis, benchmarking to identify customer needs, pain points, and opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

  • Write compelling product specifications, user stories, and scenarios that outline customer needs and product requirements.

  • Measure and evaluate product performance and customer feedback using effective telemetry and analytics tools, and iterate on product features and enhancements based on data and insights.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product management or software development

  • o OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years people management experience.

  • Experience delivering AI products or services.

  • Experience working with scaled distributed systems architecture and cloud computing environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management

  • OR software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years people management experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in collaborative work management, project management, or productivity software products or services

Product Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
