Description

Amazon’s Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide secure, high-speed, low-latency broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities, businesses and governments around the world.

We’re looking for an experienced acquisition marketing leader who is equally entrepreneurial as creative. Someone who wants the thrill of autonomously influencing dozens of stakeholders and decision-makers, in as many organizations. At Project Kuiper, the B2B Marketing team will define our end-to-end go-to-market (GTM) strategy, own B2B customer insights, deliver compelling content, and acquire and retain customers in multiple industries and regions around the world.

The leader in this role will be as comfortable with account-based marketing as programmatic digital, bold thought leadership, and white glove executive programs. The Acquisition Marketer for Mobility segments will be an industry expert, with insider knowledge of how both business and technical decision makers purchase connectivity services for moving vehicles and assets. They can create global strategies that win Mobility customers and accelerate the customer journey in sub segments including Land, Maritime and Aero. And they will have worked to successfully acquire large corporate Mobility customers to use technical hardware or software products in the past.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the global customer funnel and core Acquisition strategy for products and services before they launch.

Key job responsibilities

  • Define a global acquisition strategy that will win and retain accounts across the industries and segments you own.

  • Develop, launch, and manage industry-based campaigns, track and report on their success. Then optimizing over time.

  • Map and apply marketing tactics across the customer journey

  • Optimize Marketing Acquired Leads (MAL), Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL) and Sales Qualified Leads (SQL) conversion down the customer funnel across segments.

  • Work daily with a Marketing tech stack that includes Marketo and Salesforce.com

  • Work cross-functionally across PMM, Brand, Creative, Research and Central Events teams to apply the latest digital, event and content acquisition tactics and empower regional teams to execute global best practices.

  • Recruit and manage multiple B2B-specific content, strategy and media agencies.

  • Communicate regularly with executive leadership, business development and product management on programs, campaign effectiveness and marketing strategies.

A day in the life

This is a highly visible, high impact role on the Kuiper B2B Marketing team. This flexible leader will set the overall acquisition strategy for strategic account-based marketing, and pipeline building campaigns that scale. This expert will own strategic relationships with industry-based marketing partners, SEO/SEM strategy, and work together with Amazon Web Services (AWS) counterparts to target and win broad industry endpoints. They will work in close partnership with business operations and marketing teams to set and achieve aggressive lead-gen goals.

This person will thrive by working independently with large, cross-functional teams inside and outside Amazon while working directly with our largest and most exacting customers. This marketer will enjoy creating clarity and transparency in ambiguous situations, and the end-to-end ownership over product launch strategy and execution.

Basic Qualifications

  • 11+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working cross-functionally and driving decision making among stakeholders with competing goals

  • MBA

  • Experience Marketing AWS products to Energy Customers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
