SGS North America Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Program Manager in Redmond, Washington

Seeking Safety Professional with Industrial Hygiene Experience! The Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Program Manager will provide on-site OHS and EHS support for a high technology customer to support a dynamic and developing global OHS program. The OHS Program Manager will own safety programs from development to implementation and management of the program. The right candidate for this role must not have a rigid approach to safety, but must be adaptable, creative, and collaborative, with a keen ability to build relationships, prioritize tasks, and satisfy multiple stakeholders' needs. This role will serve as an IH expert on a team of safety professionals, each with their own expertise. * Owns the development, implementation, and management of Safety Programs * Provides expert advice and consultation to stakeholders for implementing hazard controls, safety training, compliance to local, state, federal, and company standards, and other relevant topics. * Performs Industrial Hygiene (IH) Monitoring. * Conducts incident and injury investigations, risk assessments, audits, walkthroughs, and inspections. * Acts as brand ambassador for SGS values and expertise Qualifications Required: * Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, orrelated field. Degrees in other fields will also be considered, or equivalent work experience. * Minimum 8 years of experience in the Occupational Health & Safety field OR equivalent combination of education and experience * Occupational Health & Safety industry experience * High technology industry or R&D experience * Industrial Hygiene experience * Safety program creation and implementation Preferred: * Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or ability to obtain * Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or ability to obtain * Experience in consulting * Competency in Air Sampling and Instrumentational Analysis * Competency in Basic Science * Competency in Biohazards * Competency in Biostatistics and Epidemiology * Competency in Community Exposure * Competency in Engineering Controls/Ventilation * Competency in Ergonomics * Competency in Health Risk Analysis and Hazard Communication * Competency in Ionizing and Nonionizing Radiation * Competency in Management * Competency in Noise and Hearing Loss Prevention * Competency in Non-Engineering Controls * Competency in Thermal Stressors * Competency in Toxicology * Experience in laser and drone safety Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: * Ability to work effectively in high pressure, high volume, high growth environment, balancing several assignments concurrently with different deadlines * Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in person, on phone, and via email with diverse group of stakeholders * Professional credibility, preferable through an understanding of the environmental, industrial hygiene, and/or high technology industries * Possesses strong cross-team/ group/ org collaboration skills; ability to foresee and analyze project risks, develop risk management plan and mitigate subsequent issues. The salary range for this position is $101,200 - $131,500 (dependent on experience).
