Job Title: Mechanical Engineer IIJob Description

We're looking for an outstanding Mechanical Engineer Drafter with superb technical capabilities and a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. This person will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical designs and drawings for ground support equipment systems. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production level designs, as well as in manufacturing and assembly drawings and configuration management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D and 2D mechanical designs and drawings for ground support equipment systems.

  • Create mechanical parts and assemblies with high precision.

  • Manage configuration of designs and ensure accuracy in documentation.

  • Perform mechanical stack-up analysis and structural load analysis.

  • Engage in rapid prototyping and production tooling and fixturing.

Essential Skills

  • Associate degree in Drafting, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent.

  • Experience with NX CAD software for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.

  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter PLM system.

  • Proficiency in designing mechanical parts and assemblies.

  • Strong communication and writing skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • BSc/MSc in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent.

  • Experience with engineering project management software such as JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile tools.

  • Experience in project management.

  • Mechanical stack-up analysis.

  • Structural load analysis.

  • Experience with rapid prototyping.

  • Experience with production tooling and fixturing.

Work Environment

This position requires working onsite in Redmond.
