Overview

As an Operations Manager, your role involves managing and directing the distribution center to ensure merchandise moves smoothly through the facility to its final destination. You'll lead a team of Area Managers and oversee various areas such as Inbound Operations (Unloading and Receiving), Put to Light, Ticketing, Quality Verification/Quality Control, and Outbound Operations (Loading, Spotter Truck Drivers).

You'll ensure all DC operations run efficiently, facilitating the receipt, processing, storage, packing, and shipping of merchandise. Ultimately, your efforts support our mission to deliver the right products to the right stores at the right time!

Shift: Tuesday-Friday 2:45p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

A Day in the Life:

  • Precise Operator: Every corner of the warehouse shall be a model of operational excellence, flowing with the efficiency of a well-executed plan. You'll synchronize with warehouse management systems, skillfully directing inventory receipt and processing, while creating a customer-friendly atmosphere within the warehouse.

  • Efficiency Expert: Leading the charge in cost management, you will implement systems that seamlessly adjust to the dynamic demands of our distribution center operations, conducting the seamless flow of peak efficiency.

  • Leadership Catalyst: Your guidance extends to engagement, coaching, nurturing, and elevating Area Managers and associates. Through informal on-the-floor guidance and formal performance evaluations, your mentorship resonates throughout the warehouse.

  • Strategic Coordination: The rhythm of delivery schedules shall be your guide, ensuring maximum store service and efficiency, creating a strategy that resonates through every corner.

  • Safety Advocate: In the coordination of operations, safety takes precedence. You'll uphold Burlington's safety policies with a vigilant eye, reducing accidents and costs with steadfast watchfulness.

You’ll Come With:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience

  • 4+ years’ experience leading in a high-volume distribution environment.

  • Understanding of supply chain, distribution, warehouse, transportation, and inventory.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Good reasoning, conflict-management, and analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with WMS, distribution technology, and distribution equipment (conveyors, MHE, etc.).

  • Able to read and interpret necessary policies and procedures to perform updates and operate systems and other programs within the Distribution Center

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule

  • Able to access all areas of the Distribution Center, including the mezzanine platforms

  • Ability to lift and move boxes weighing 40 lbs. or more and the ability to stand for extended periods of time

  • Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) a plus
