As the HR Generalist, you will provide support in functional areas of human resources including but not limited to assessment and selection, employee relations, employee engagement, compensation management, organization development, training and special projects across the Lakeside site.

We are looking for someone to contribute their development and invest their HR career as a progression.

What you’ll do:

  • Managing the recruitment process for both permanent and temporary positions from sourcing to onboarding and manage the relationships with recruitment agencies.

  • Management of payroll process, ensuring accurate entry of data.

  • Supporting Managers with the completion of first level disciplinary, grievances, attendance management reviews and other employee relations matters.

  • Coordinating employee engagement initiatives including but not limited to, employee surveys, wellness activities, charity involvement and inclusion and diversity events.

  • Assisting with updating and ensuring policies are compliant with legislation and Eaton philosophy and handle queries along with other HR team members.

  • Managing key Human Resources administrative tasks, including communications, time and attendance process, reward & recognition tracking, employee benefits, guidebooks and flexible working requests.

  • Managing and action letters and confirmation including medical approval, referencing, data approval and all subsequent needed information from site.

  • Maintaining accurate records of employee data compliant both with UK legislation and Eaton best practice including support of the time and attendance process and Eaton University training records.

  • Collecting and analyzing accurate and timely data for established and relevant HR metrics.

  • Designing and delivering of training as required.

  • Demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset by supporting related initiatives by establishing, maintaining and implementing standard work and other tools.

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to undertake CIPD qualified or working towards completion.

  • Previous experience in a HR function ideally in a manufacturing environment.

  • Working knowledge of UK employment law and resource management.

Skills:

  • Understanding of complex employee relations cases and appropriate resolutions.

  • Preferably some exposure to time and attendance systems.

  • Demonstrated organizational & prioritization skills.

  • Ability to build trust & maintain confidentiality is critical.

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Able to manage through ambiguity in a busy environment.
