Stantec Design Manager (Water) in Redditch, United Kingdom

The Opportunity

As part of continued growth across UK & Ireland, we are looking to recruit Design Lead / Design Manager / Project Technical Lead at all career levels.

In this role you will lead our strong multi-disciplinary team, delivering diverse and challenging projects for a range of Water Industry clients. You will work closely with our commercial team to deliver projects and you will be responsible for the efficient delivery of quality design outputs, to programme and to cost.

At Stantec, you will have the opportunity to work in some of the UK water industry’s most complex and engaging projects, delivering designs that will shape the way we manage water and wastewater for our local communities, using innovative and sustainable methods. Projects / clients Stantec have been involved with include:

  • Thames Water – Stantec have managed all HS2 design assurance for Thames Water, London Infrastructure design & build contract, and multiple engineering studies and assessments for Thames Water across both Infrastructure & non-Infrastructure deliver streams (Thames Water London Plan 2100 (stantec.com))

  • Northumbrian Water – Stantec is a strategic solutions partner to Northumbrian Water have been involved with delivering a major scheme in Essex (Abberton Reservoir)

  • Southern Water – Stantec is a Strategic Solutions Partner to Southern Water and are working together on an iconic water project – Water for Life Hampshire (Water for Life – Hampshire (southernwater.co.uk)

  • Severn Trent Water – Stantec have a well-established framework supporting Severn Trent with their major schemes.

  • South West Water, Welsh Water and Wessex Water – Stantec has been appointed on several frameworks and working on major projects.

About you

To be considered for this opportunity you must be degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, be chartered (or approaching charter status) with a engineering institution. If you are pursuing chartership, with an engineering institution e.g. ICE, CIWEM, IMechE. This is something we can support you on.

In addition, you’ll have a passion for the water industry and environment sector and supporting our developing engineers. You will also have experience in successful project delivery and working collaboratively with project teams to develop innovative design solutions.
