**SMART WORKFORCE CENTER and US FOREST SERVICE Have immediate positions available in Shasta and Trinity County for temporary, full-time work in the Shasta Trinity National Forest to help our community recover from the effects of recent fires.

Work Crew Positions

  • Day Crews and Lead $25.08 - 28.08/hr
  • Camping Crew and Lead $30.23-33.23/hr

Forest Fire Damage Repair

  • Ash and Waste Clean Up
  • Roads and Trails Repair
  • Burned Tree and Brush Removal
  • Waterway Clean-Up and Repair

Wildland Employment Camping Crew includes:

  • Tent Camping Provided
  • Wilderness Skill Training

Job Candidates

  • 18 years of age or older
  • On unemployment or at least 4+ weeks unemployed
  • Not afraid of hard work
  • Willingness to be outdoors and traveling for extended periods of time
