Aston Carter Accounts Payable Specialist in Red Bank, New Jersey

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE| INTERVIEWS HAPPENING THIS WEEK!!

Job Type: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Red Bank, NJ

Pay: $23/hr+

O ne of Aston Carter's clients within the manufacturing space is looking to add an Accounts Payable Specialist to their team. The most qualified candidates will have 2+ years of full cycle AP experience.

What you’ll do:

• Maintains regular accounting processes for A/P(regular vendors and distributor vendors) including journal entries and reports.

• Assist Managerial Accountant in account reconciliation monthly.

• Reconciles and verifies all distributor invoices by utilizing Price 2.0 and various investigative mechanisms.

• Provides support to VP of Accounting as per assigned work.

• Preparing and ensuring payments to distributors are timely.

• Assist VP of Accounting with monthly and EOY financial ,statement closure entries predominantly related to chargebacks.

• Comply with financial policies and regulations.

• Reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger for accounts, where responsible.

• Collect distributor statements monthly for review by VP of Accounting.

• Works in tandem with other accounting positions to maintain internal controls as defined by internal audit and management

• Attend weekly meetings to determine pace for upcoming week.

What you’ll bring:

  • 2+ years of accounts payable experience

  • Exposure to a large ERP software

  • Eagerness to learn and gain experience

  • Strong Excel knowledge
