Overview:

Great opportunity to join a leading innovator in food manufacturing as a Director of Quality and Compliance! In this role, you will work closely with internal departments and executive management in establishing, directing and coordinating Quality Assurance Systems to ensure products meeting quality standards, customer satisfactions and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert opinion, advice, and recommendations to the organization regarding quality processes, relevant regulations, and compliance factors. Regulatory requirements include US and worldwide regulations, standards, and guidance documents.

  • Develop and execute corporate quality programs to ensure conformity of purchased materials and finished products to quality standards.

  • Review regulatory/compliance/safety laws and regulations which govern and impact company operations and compares them to current practices. Develops and implements required standards to assure company’s regulatory compliance.

  • Oversee food safety tasks as required for foreign material control, sanitation, critical control point operation, GMP’s and storage practices.

  • Oversee tasks as designated for implementation and maintenance of the SQF Food Safety systems.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.

  • A minimum of 10 years experience in the food manufacturing industry, with a minimum of 5 years of experience managing quality and regulatory affairs.

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of domestic and international food manufacturing regulations and standards, including AIB, FDA, USDA and SQF.

  • Project management experience.
