JOB SUMMARY: Under the general guidance and direction of the Operations Manager and Operations Supervisor, Conversion/Changeover Crew members are to assist in changing over the arena floor and setting up the arena for events.In this position you are a member of the conversion/changeover crew. Duties require converting the facility from hockey mode, to concert or banquet mode and back. Additionally, you will assist with any event orientated preparation/setup required for shows or sporting events to run safely and efficiently and other duties as assigned.TYPICAL JOB DUTIES · Responsible for working as part of a team to convert and prepare the arena for events · Setup and take down arena floor decking · Setup and take down of staging, risers, basketball courts, tables chairs and other event related items · Assist in the removal and setup of hockey glass and dasher boards · Assist in the cleanup of the building before, during and after events · Assist in parking control during events · Painting · All other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED : · Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends · Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for extended periods of time · Must be able to perform heavy lifting tasks up to 50 pounds · Must be able to follow directions from supervisors
