Job Description

Be a part of the SaaS Engineering Development Team. Work with Oracle's world class technologies to product manage the development, implementation, and support of various products and services across all aspects of the SaaS organization. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

SaaS Engineering Team - We are a software development team responsible for creating and maintaining critical productivity products used across Oracle SaaS Cloud to automate various business processes. The organization is also responsible for the development of a comprehensive set of release management applications and reporting, that services all aspects of Oracle product release, support and tracking various compliance processes.

Responsibilities

We seek a product manager to work on the next generation of cloud-based, data-driven applications. The successful candidate will play a key role in influencing the strategy and execution of key initiatives for a set of flagship products within SaaS Engineering. They will identify and prioritize solutions to be delivered, provide functional specifications for the solutions, and take the solutions to general availability following an agile, continuous-delivery methodology and a dev-ops mindset. The candidate will represent the products to internal customers within SaaS and, for some products, across all of Oracle. Responsibilities for the role include:

  • Lead a discussion with the management to gain insight into the product roadmap and project assigned - its background, goal and scope. Ensure management expectations & delivery timelines are clearly understood.

  • Liaison between internal customers to understand customer business processes and get a complete 360 analysis of the related requirements.

  • Formulate how the product roadmap will help acquire new customers.

  • Be creative in solving customer problems/requirements.

  • Produce high quality functional design documents with comprehensive and detailed solution. Functional designs may include the definition of product use cases, wireframes and upstream and downstream impact areas

  • Uphold product quality to the highest standards. As part of design it is very critical to document testing strategy that identifies the success/acceptance criteria for the project.

  • Ensure the MVP definition is aligned with customer commitment in mind, and management sign off is received.

  • Collaborate with Dev team member on reviewing any technical solution document to ensure that it is aligned with the finalized solution approach

  • Work closely with the Dev team to create launch deliverables like New Feature Summary, What’s New and TOI's
