Ford Motor Company PVT Engineer in Rayong, Thailand

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • PVT lead plant for P375/P703/U704 responsible for VFG and all CCC assigned that related t0 Warranty/In plant issues, investigations, introducing ICA's and PCA's at suppliers and in FTM Plant.

  • Lead and Interface with PVT Body Interior all 8 plants, work with LVEA, VFG leader, QB to drive through the Quality issues and Improvements.

  • Lead Body Interior sub-system Variability Reduction Team (VRT), daily ECB binning, Analyze Internal and External Quality data (Highhurt, Warranty, QNPS) to determine where to focus the VRT Quality team to implement the fixes (Design, Supplier quality, Plant Process).

  • Lead F7-Body Interior T6 GVRT forum for the VFG assigned, ensure lesson learn and quality actions are communicated to brother/sister plants for replication.

  • Interface with plant team and daily support to TCF production complicate issues. Investigating issues that requires Repair Procedures to be developed and released, Alert generation and Buy-off of applied Rework/Repair Procedure.

  • Initiate Stop-ships and manage initial containment for plant, supplier, and design related items.

  • Manage and execute all running changes (SREA, TVM, OPD, etc.). Lead plant trials and prove-outs for quality, MCR, SREA; Hold, locate, test and release vehicles after plant trials.

  • VRT member, Support plant VRT subsystem reviews; lead overview and design related roadmap actions.

  • Support PVT Supervisor / Manager’s lead in VQR & GVQR vehicle reviews.

  • Launch support - address lessons learnt/AIMS issues, OTG, White Board meetings, Start-up, OK to proceed, etc. including fresh eyes review of launch build vehicles.

  • Coordinate with STA and Supplier and build relationship to improve the design/quality issues of parts and processes.

  • Deliver quality actions to meet FTM's objectives and Body Interior's Targets.

Qualifications Required:

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial /Chemical/Polymer/Plastic Engineering Preferred).

  • 5 years in automotive industry

  • Experienced in PD, PVT, R&D, or other Body Interior/Exterior sub-system related.

  • Skill & Knowledge requirement: Analytical thinking, 6-Sigma Green belt or Black belt certified (preferred), Polymers/Plastics Technology or the others such as Climate system, seat, Hard trim, soft trim related.

  • Project Management, multitask management skills and demonstrated leadership, Good communication skills both English and Thai: Speaking, reading, writing.

  • Own working together: Build relationships with local and cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, drive team culture.

  • Deliver results: Strong influencing skills and leadership in a demanding environment, remote from the main program team.

  • Special Knowledge/Skills Required: Can do attitude, think out of the box, self-starter, with ability to take lead responsibility and lead cross-functional teams to deliver results, team player
