Ford Motor Company ADAS Engineer in Rayong, Thailand

•ADAS, Advanced driver assistance system, Engineer, This individual reports to the Manager and is responsible for launch of new vehicles and localization of components to support that launch. The engineer will co-working with related cross functional team to manage suppliers to deliver the components on time and with quality while interfacing the lead country design & release engineers in Ford to deliver BOM and designs with robustness. During launch the engineer will analyze root cause of issues and implement robust containment actions to ensure quality builds phases, while working with suppliers and lead D&R’s for permanent corrective actions.

• Provide the onsite support for ADAS commodities, IPMA / Parking sensor / Camera / Acc Radar / 360 Camera within respective responsibilities, as required.

• Provide a single point of contact for all related PD issues in the assembly plants, the lead manufacturing engineering team, and the regional engineering team, within respective responsibilities.

• Assist the subject matter expert with hand-on, as well as, class room training to increase knowledge and maturity, as applicable.

• Provide expertise in root cause analysis for respective issues.

• Work with cross-functional team including Ford Purchasing, Ford Design & Release engineer, STA and local suppliers to get successful in commodity localization on time with quality to support new vehicle launch.

• Perform primary engineering duties during vehicle launches, onsite at assembly plant including root cause analysis and problem solving when issue arise.

• Work with cross-function team to investigate issues during builds and identify containment plan including ERA, ICA, PCA and Prevent Re-occurrence.

• Validate Bill of Material prior each build phase to ensure correct parts are ordered and available for assembly.

• Ensure Ford Lessons Learned from previous builds is incorporated to avoid repeat issues.

• Drive issue resolution from the local team back through the lead engineering teams including root cause analysis as issues arise.

• Lead / Support CR engineering change releasing and implementation plan of the change by working with cross-functional team who related to each change.

Education Qualification

Bachelor / Master Degree in Engineering (Prefer Electrical engineering)

Professional Exposure

(Technical Skills)

Knowledge in Automotive Components & Systems, Function & Features.

Knowledge in part manufacturing process, tooling, fixtures, etc.

Electrical Schematic / Electrical architecture FNV

ADAS knowledge

Preferred previous experiences Prefer prior experience in Automotive Product Development Engineering.

Functional Skills

Analytical tools such as 8D, fishbone analysis and is/is not.

Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and other Microsoft

software
