Position Summary:

The Commercial Education Specialist, Spine will support in the design, development, planning and execution of training initiatives for the Field Sales Organization (FS0). This should be achieved through strong clinical / customer knowledge along with exceptional collaboration and teamwork with R&D, Marketing, Professional Education, Commercial leaders, and Functional Partners. The individual’s primary focus will be supporting the Spine Commercial Education team in the development, creation, and execution of Sales Training for the Field Sales Organization (FSO).

Key job responsibilities

  • Support the Commercial Education Manager in the design and delivery of programs aligned to our learning strategies, adult learning principles, and professional facilitation skills focused on our Spine Product Portfolio & Enabling Technologies.

  • Participate in leading the delivery of learning in classrooms, and/or virtual courses to ensure high standards and alignment to the global standards using technology platforms

  • Educate sales consultants across the portfolio to build proficiency with emphasis on technical training, clinical selling, operations, strategic account management, and enterprise and market effectiveness

  • Ensure that sales training practices and all learning content is current, copy approved, and follows all company, government, and legal requirements.

  • Manage daily business-focused training activities for the Commercial Education department. This includes administrative activities and implementation of Commercial Education policies and guidelines aligned with the MedTech Education strategy.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree is required.

  • 2 years of medical device experience within the operating room is required.

  • 1 year of clinical experience in Spine is required.

  • Strong clinical and educational expertise related to Enabling Technology within the medical device field.

  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, ability to self-direct and self-govern and lead projects by establishing clear results and timelines.

  • Ability to build and deliver presentations to a variety of audiences including learners, coworkers, and senior leaders.

  • Ability to adapt to and deliver in a dynamic work environment.

  • Genuine interest in ongoing professional self-development.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, sophisticated project management, and development skills.

  • This position is located in Raynham, MA, and may require up to 30% travel.

Preferred:

  • Experience in Spine Navigation and/or Robotics

  • Experience in enhanced visualization technologies within the medical device field

  • Experience with Biomaterials used in Orthopedic Surgery

  • Experience in developing, and delivering educational content for virtual, classroom, internal, and/or field-based audiences.

  • Experience as an orthopedic/medical device trainer

  • Understanding of adult learning principles

  • Familiarity with Capital Equipment Sales Process

  • Familiar with content development software (video editing, audio editing, graphic design, etc.) and new educational technologies (VR, AR, Animation, Podcast, etc.)

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $91,000 to $144,900. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year

  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
