*GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: *

Manage the day-to-day functions of the accounting department for Axess Family Services (AxessPointe Community Health Centers, Inc) and its subsidiary companies. 

 

*ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: *

  1. Management of the day to day functions and oversight of accounting department.

  2. Assist with streamlining the month-end closing process and providing timely reporting to the Agency board, programs and Federal, State and Local governmental grants and any other contracts.

  3. Work with team to review all balance reconciliations on a monthly basis.

  4. Oversee all financial, project/program and grants accounting, ensure that all expenditures are consistently aligned with grant and program budgets throughout the grant/fund period. Assist with analysis of collections for the health center segments of the business,

  5. Assist with annual the agency budget as well as any budgets required from the various funding sources.

  6. Strong Analytical skills.

  7. Assist with overseeing the annual audit and 990 completions.

  8. Oversee reports submitted to taxing authorities, funding bodies, and other appropriate organizations as required.

  9. Assist with accreditation process for COA and HRSA.

  10. Complies with agency policies and procedures, COA/HRSA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.

  11. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

*QUALIFICATIONS: *

  1. Good verbal and written communication skills.

  2. Ability to perform work required with minimal supervision.

  3. Experience preferred in complex non-profit organizations with very diverse programs and multiple subsidiary companies.

  4. Strong computers skills and knowledge of Microsoft products.

  5. Valid Ohio Driver's License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.

  6. Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation).

     

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in accounting required. 

 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 5 years accounting experience required, preferably with Non-Profits.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit for extended period of time.
