Cox Engineering Pre-Construction Internship in Randolph, Massachusetts

What We Are Looking For: We are looking for the next generation of CAD Detailers to join our Pre-Construction Division! Under the direction of the Pre-Construction Department Manager, the student will be assisting mechanical pipe and sheet metal coordinators and detailers with the operation, administration, and organization of project related activities to help successfully execute projects from start to finish. All pipes and sheet metal design will be completed using Revit and AutoCAD (Fabrication MEP) software. After finishing their time here, project coordinator students and junior designers will have developed professional etiquette, as well as gained experience in industry communication, general piping and building construction, and various software such as Revit, AutoCAD and Naviswork. This position is open to current 3rd and 4th year students (4 year program), 4th and 5th year students (5 year program) The Job Responsibilities: Assist in general piping layout and coordination with other trades in both office and field settings Generate various drawings, including but not limited to install drawings, spool maps, hanger drawings and equipment layout Attend project coordination meetings Provide support to field personnel and project management groups Basic Qualifications: Knowledge and experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Naviswork Excellent communication skills, strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
