Job Description

*This position is only accepting candidates who reside in Sacramento County, California.

The Senior HR Business Partner is responsible for providing a high level of operational Human Resource support to Prime’s employees and leaders. This position is responsible for being the first-line point of contact to support the delivery of Human Resources solutions by partnering with all other functions within Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and coaching, independently, to leaders on employee-relations and performance management issues of moderate complexity, escalating when necessary; lead the development and delivery of appropriate feedback, disciplinary action, recommendation or solution surrounding an issue

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the goals and priorities of assigned client groups, to create recommendations and set an HR agenda that supports the business and drives a positive employee experience

  • Consult with HR and business leaders on organizational design and development needs, as well as, talent management initiatives, and implement plans where appropriate

  • Lead or co-lead HR projects or initiatives of moderate complexity and is accountable for building collaboration across the HR organization to accomplish project milestones

  • Conduct thorough and defensible investigations, drawing accurate conclusions and recommending appropriate next steps

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on recruitment and selection process for entry level employees through senior director level positions

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Human Resources Development, Business Administration, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required

  • 5 years of work experience in Human Resources

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to independently collaborate and consult with individuals at multiple levels of the organization

  • Excellent communication, mediation, and conflict resolution skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple, complex priorities and deadlines simultaneously

  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and effectively handle sensitive/complex issues and facilitate critical interactions

  • Strong knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and labor and compliance requirements

  • Advanced proficiency of MS Office Suite

  • Developed data analysis and interpretation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with HR information systems (i.e., Workday)

  • Experience and strong knowledge of compensation, benefits, recruitment, employment law, performance management systems, organizational effectiveness and change leadership

  • PHR (Professional Human Resources) Certification

Minimum Physical Job Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time

  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to HR Business Partner Principal, Director, Senior Director or AVP in the Human Resources department
