Summary    

As a Paralegal under the supervision of attorneys, you will perform a range of substantive case, matter or entity related duties. You will prepare drafts of legal and other documents and correspondence for attorney review. You will compile, analyze and summarize information. You will coordinate efforts between attorneys, clients, outside legal counsel, opposing legal counsel, other parties and outside vendors.

  

Location

This position can be remote. Candidates should reside within reasonable commuting distance to the home office and must be based in one of the following offices: Phoenix, New York, Washington DC, Short Hills, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Atlanta, San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, Baltimore, Northern Virginia, Wilmington, Boston, Chicago, Minneapolis, Miami, Raleigh, Seattle, Philadelphia office.   

Responsibilities

  • Performing a range of substantive case, matter, or entity-related duties by supporting efforts between attorneys, clients, outside legal counsel, opposing legal counsel, and other parties.

  • Developing, monitoring, and updating closing and other books and other documents.

  • Responsible for researching, preparing, and filing legal UCC Financing Statements, Articles of Incorporation/Organization, annual reports, managing data rooms, and matter files, coordinating execution and delivery of documentation to other parties’ counsel, lenders, governmental agencies, etc., including all closing documentation.

  • Develop, monitor, and update closing and other checklists.

Desired Skills   

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills required to interact with staff, paralegals, attorneys and clients on a daily basis. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required to handle large volumes of work associates with each matter. Responsibilities will include assisting attorneys in your home office and in office across the firm. Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment.

Minimum Education   

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or a Paralegal certificate. Must meet the California Paralegal Requirements.

Certificates

  • Paralegal certificate

Minimum Years of Experience

  • 6 years experience as a paralegal

  • Must have strong skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Experience with legal software such as Relativity, LexisNexis, Westlaw or similar application

Physical Demands   

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

The expected annual pay range for this position, if hired to work in Los Angeles, San Diego, Washington, D.C., or Seattle is $47.70 - $70.96 per hour. If hired to work in New York city the expected pay range is $49.87 - $74.18 per hour. If hired to work in Palo Alto or San Francisco the expected pay range is $52.04 - $77.41 per hour. The compensation offered to a candidate selected for employment will be dependent upon various factors, including the candidate’s geographic market, skills, educational and professional background, experience, and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
