Wells Fargo Retail Services is looking for an Outside Business Development Rep(Business Lending District/Territory Sales Manager 2)to personally develop new retail partners in VA, NC, SC, WV, and Eastern KY. This role will require up to 50% travel within the defined sales district.

The position requires working from a home office located in North Carolina or being on the road. It does not have a Wells Fargo office location.

Job responsibilities include:

• Solicits new business opportunities by proactively making phone calls and scheduling face to face meetings with prospects in given territory.

• Manages the sale of products or services within a specified district or territory.

• Selects and develops sources, leads and contacts.

• Generates new business relationships for usage of our products through effective cold calling and new business development meetings with the prospective retailer.

• Completion of & adherence to sales metrics; which measure effective calls, meetings, and new business acquisition.

• Overnight travel for sales meetings within given geographic territory.

• May participate in trade shows and sales events as required.

• May mentor other sales team members in skills and techniques.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of sales experience

  • 1+ year of business-to-business sales experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to learn sales plans, product lines and services

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

  • New business development experience

  • Outside sales experience

  • Financial services industry experience

  • Experience meeting or exceeding sales goals with respect to products and/or services

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment

  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

  • Reliable transportation
