Responsibilities

The Sr. Web Developer in NetSuite is responsible primarily for providing and leading consulting and development services to Advance Customer Services clients. This role is expected to:

  • Work with JavaScript to build custom solutions for significant ecommerce clients and create reusable components with JavaScript.

  • Meet deadlines and creatively solve problems.

  • Work closely with Project Managers and other members of the Development Team to both develop detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines, and to ensure timely completion of work.

  • Attend client meetings during development when needed.

  • Communicate with efficiency and accuracy any progress and/or delays

  • Translates requirements documentation and graphic design into a functional NetSuite Ecommerce website.

  • Document and validate customer’s technical requirements and map to NetSuite functionality.

  • Develops standard methodologies, features and product extensions.

  • Be a “go-to” resource for specific technical areas.

  • Work with other other groups on features/solutions.

  • Assist with limited scoping and estimation.

  • Support the Sales cycle through scoping and estimation of ACS engagements

  • Contribute to the solutions repository/standard methodologies, knowledge share activities

  • Conduct Internal trainings on Domain Expertise to filter out standard methodologies

Qualifications:

  • Superb communication on both technical and non-technical contexts is required as well as working under deadlines in a fast-paced development environment and prioritizing competing demands. Looking for you to take initiative, take responsibility and ownership of your projects.

  • Establish credibility and rapport with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to influence customers to modify current business practices, as required

  • Works fairly independently with some guidance and direction on work

  • Ability to complete assignments and tasks delegated by other project resources

  • Ability to work in a deadline-focused environment, consistently producing work within agreed upon timeframes

  • Ability to manage multiple project commitments simultaneously

  • Prioritize tasks, manages time well and handles information flow.

  • Comfortable with translating customer business requirements into workable technical solutions within defined areas of expertise

  • Design and Develop innovative solutions to solve custom customer business requirements.

  • Be fully versed on functionality released with each new product upgrade

  • Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining technical solutions

  • Use existing methods and standard methodologies to develop NetSuite ecommerce web site, new features and extensions with the highest levels of security, reliability, efficiency, performance and scalability

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a Technical area or equivalent educational background.

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in developing websites, demonstrating proficiency in both front-end and back-end development.

Experience:

  • Experience in web technologies/standards (HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript).

  • Experience with JavaScript MVC frameworks, AJAX and JSON structure.

  • SuiteScript experience, developing back-end customization.

  • Experience working with RESTFUL APIs.

  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.

  • Experience working on SuiteCommerce customizations.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

Canada: Hiring Range from $76,700 to $167,000 CAD per annum

US: Hiring Range: from $87,000 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
